Joe Minnella is the Auto Director at National Subrogation Services (NSS), where he supports new business development and client relations initiatives within the firm’s automobile subrogation practice. Since joining NSS in 2015, Joe has brought extensive leadership experience in auto claims, insurance recovery, and subrogation strategy, helping insurers, self-insured entities, and third-party administrators strengthen recovery performance and maximize claim outcomes.
With decades of experience in the property and casualty insurance industry, Joe has led operations involving automobile claims, subrogation and recovery, special investigations, and business development. His background includes a strong focus on claims management, recovery operations, and client service, giving him a practical understanding of how carriers can improve subrogation identification, streamline workflows, and increase recoveries on auto losses. This experience supports NSS’s broader mission of delivering efficient, results-driven subrogation services for the insurance industry.
Prior to joining NSS, Joe was President and CEO of Minnella & Associates, where he provided consulting services in the property and casualty claims environment. He also served as Vice President of Atlantic Risk Services, Assistant Claim Vice President for Atlantic Mutual Insurance Companies, and Vice President of Sales and New Business Development for Trover Recovery Solutions. In these roles, he held national responsibility for automobile claims, subrogation and recovery, and SIU operations.
Joe is also active in the subrogation community and has contributed industry thought leadership on NSS’s approach to subrogation excellence.
