Encryption

We use a Type C encryption, a proprietary symmetric stream cipher. It employs a diversified key to generate a pseudo-random byte mask and encrypts data by XORing that mask with the value. The encrypted data is packaged with metadata and an integrity check so it can be safely transferred and validated across systems. Your secure encryption keys are generated by the database using world-class hardware RNGs and a proprietary process.
